Guest guest
I’m not sure so little time would help me much. I still almost fell on my butt yesterday stepping off of it. It’s tricky for me, but when I get it right, it’s a dream. It’s just that it will take me a few days. My friend just hopped on it like it was nothing, though. I just wrote this for my web page. Let me pass it on here. Sniped [AS] After Segway (after getting my Segway): 03/06/2003. this page has been thought about and written before I got my Segway so it was not written from experience, but thought. now that I had a chance to glide with one, I am conscious of what a tremendous equalizer it is between the week and the strong. I'm not sure now that this page has any importance. The small amount of muscle that is needed has me thinking that I will have the ability to do many of the things that normal people do. I truly am hoping for that new lease on life that I've been talking about. If that happens to me, I will see much less use for this page for myself as I expect to enter the normal world. I will have to figure out a way to fasten a tiny folding chair to it, how ever. I shall continue to work on this page but in a different way if I'm right. I would encourage Cecil who are borderline handicapped and tell them to get their Segway as soon as possible. I believe we can enter the normal world! I still hope to meet people here to see how well this bears out for others. I hope you'll let me know! I will still be happy to keep this page going! “Sit down and read. On one you pay $15 for 5 minutes of instruction and then can tool around for 10 minutes on deck. On the other you pay $49 for a one hour Segway Experience including a brief orientation and then a spin along the shore. Tom, maybe you can earn extra money by renting yours out for " thrill " rides when you don't kneed it Ann K LI NY Re: New Team Sport Tom......Saturday works for me. Give me the teams colors and I'll start sewing my cheer leaders outfit right away. I can't wait until I hear from you about your maiden voyage. Have you named " Seggie " yet? xxoo Ca. Guest guest
Hi Dennis, First, SEGWAY is not a prototype, it is a product. You can buy it, it is not in the developmental stage. Second, I have absolutely no balance issue when I am seated. I can ride a bike (normal two wheel bicycle) because of this. I do have balance issues when I stand up, but I can probably manage SEGWAY, according to a guy who sells them. I was just too scared to try, but he said I could do it... I prefer the Segway as our balancing issues are better to control standing up than seating. Dennis
