EW, I wasn't sprouting beans but am growing beans.  These are in a pod but the

beans inside are white beans.  They sure sprouted fast and came up.  I just

wondered about the leaves as I could cut a few off them and wouldn't likely hurt

them.  But I'm not ready to cook them at all.  They were in a package so not

sure they are without any germination chemicals.  I still have some left so

I'll check to see if it is organic.  I tried to get organic.

What kind of a bean. If you're sprouting dry beans, such as: kidney, pinto,

white, these need to be cooked. I sprout them for four days and then they go

into soups, stews and chili. Mung beans and azuki can be eaten without cooking

after they are sprouted.

Re: Re: Chips?

Are you just eating the leaves of the peas? Wonder if the leaves of a bean re

any good. I put out some beans, can't remember if they are organic, but they are

really growing in the container box. Last time I ate a bean sprout, it was

bitter. Don't know if it was too big or not.

No, I haven't.  I did the beans and they were bitter.  I haven't yet done my

sunnies either as I have a can like you had.  I haven't put them in freezer

yet.  I have to use some things from the freezer first.  I have done more

planting than sprouting lately.  I just got my salad spinner.

Carolyn:

I eat everything but the pea itself. Some part of the shoots are called

Tendrils. You've never done pea shoots??
