Guest guest
That was same directions as was on my little peat pot planters with the kit. I got it for $4 at Big Lots. May check to see if they have more. Could barely see a bit of green yesterday and waited and today there are 4 long stems with green leaves and I took the top off. problem is that they all look the same and they are in different rows, unless it got turned around. I didn't mark it down so have no idea which is which. A few others have some green right at the top of the dirt or peat. It is in the sunroom now and the light is off tonight but need to turn on in the morning.   Carolyn Wilkerson  ________________________________ To: sproutpeople Sent: Thursday, June 28, 2012 1:14 AM Subject: Re: Question about flax and chia greens  Yes, the covers are only to retain moisture so that your seeds won't dry out before the can germinate. Once you see any green, take off the covers so that the sprouts can breath. This is for all sprouts except mung beans. I think mung beans taste best if you don't let them get green. ew Question about flax and chia greens I have grown them in the past with great success but about 7 days ago (in the middle of a hundred degree heat wave) and I WAS watering them every day but they were growing on coffee filters, well the smell hit me and I tossed them all. I had used the Debbie Myers Green boxes turned upside down and left them covered. While we might not be in yet another heat wave, I just put up 5 new batches. I'm growing them on Sure to Grow Mats. Once I see the little sprouts, do I then remove any covers? I just want to make sure. This is how EW says to do the pea shoots so I'm imagining the same rules apply??
