Guest guest
Hi Dick, That is very interesting about Denver Bicycle. Does the city have good bike paths/trails? We are working on getting some here, there are already ones by the beach, but more are needed in town. Problem is streets are narrow and too many cars. Guest guest
Gretchen, they have a fantastic trail system over the entire metro area. I've been told that there are 650 miles of trails in total. I'd say that 85% of them are paved. You can find Denver bike maps here <http://www.denvergov.org/tabid/378718/Default.aspx>. The Denver bike-sharing program started here in April of 2010. It's been a great success. The B-Cycle link provides more information. As for congestion, Colorado passed a 3-foot rule regarding bicycles. If you're passing a bicyclist on a roadway, you must maintain a three foot distance -- * " Life is 10% what happens to us and 90% how we react to it.
