Guest guest
Hi I am on a chemo pill and I am doing very good.... some side effects such as more aches and pains in my joints and more fatigue added on top of the CMT.. but consider the alternative which is none for me..I gladly take it... Guest guest
I had chemo for breast cancer in late 2007 - early 2008 with A-C (Adriamycin - Cytoxin) and it severely exacerbated my CMT and existing foot ulcer. Â I'm still experiencing difficulties relating to the chemo. Â In March of last year, I was informed that the chemo had damaged the left ventricle of my heart and now I'm on total, permanent disability. Â Be careful and good luck to you! From: tinbucket78 <tinbucket78@...> Subject: CMT and Chemo? Date: Thursday, April 29, 2010, 4:58 PM Â Hello Gang: Have any of you gone through chemo? If so how did it go? Any CMT/Chemo side effects? Thanks Tinbucket
Guest guest
I went through 6 months of chemo 4 years ago. The weakness from CMT became much worse during this time & has continued to worsen in the 4 years since I completed chemo. It's hard to say if the chemo caused the increased weakness or if it was going to happen anyway since I am 50 years old. It just seemed to happen so rapidly during & after chemo. I still don't regret going through it since I am alive today & able to enjoy my grand children
