Guest guest
As I've began working Globally as a Civil Rights Lobbyist and mostly as an Educational Advocate to help nations that need special education programs for children with Autism - Z , I would really like to find out 'from the people' vs. from the advocates... how are things ? Please let me know how things are in your area. I am new to grouply and hope I can be of help to those that need advocacy on tough issues and just some advice on others. My son is 15 yrs old, Autistic.. non verbal. He is the reason I started Lobbying in the first place and Advocating across the Nation and into other nations. So you could say hes' my inspiration, my hero, and I know I was put here for him and he for me. Advocacy is a tough issue as we can only do so much on limited budgets.. those that are Paying for advocacy in fees.. I would like to hear from. From the very beginning in this back in 96 I was making a 6 figure income..oh how nice that was.. anyway.. the rate of prevalence in the US was 1 to 2 i n 10,000. Now at 1 in 75 this is not just an epidemic in proportion, it's Pandemic. No longer can backs be turned on this large population.. no longer can those with no voice be left unable to speak. A Universal approach to providing programs * not the program * , in giving FAPE outrightly in one place and not another.. this must come to an end. The practice of wasting more money on attorneys and due process then on the education in question.. must stop. This shall take work on both sides. It is give and take in this worlk and we must give to see what we can 'take' for our children... for they are the angels of this world and the future of it. Please let me know how things are going in your area... Autism_Speaks_Now@... E. , Sr. Reg.
