Guest guest
My calves were very large (more so than any one I knew) and muscular looking until I was about 20 years old. In fact, that is how I went to be diagnosed...one calf was atrophying. I knew I was different when younger because I had these big, muscular legs, but could not use them for sports or running. My son does not have hypertrophy of his calves though, they are still average sized now. Interesting. Guest guest
I wonder why that is......I would think that being my family have 1A that our calves would be the same. Guest guest
Hi Geri, No two people in the same family experience the same symptoms, even as they share the same 'type' such as CMT 1A. Much the same as no two unrelated people with CMT do not experience the same symptoms with CMT 1A or other types for that matter. > > > > My calves are skinny but my daughters are large...... > > Re: Twitching is termed 'fasciculation' and present in numerous disorder > > > > > > > > My calves are in a constant state of fasciculation.
