Guest guest
Wow, this brought back memories! I had surgery on both ankles consecutively when I was 21 and took a semester off of college to be able to do it. The first surgery was in July and the second foot was done in September. I figured he'd operate on the right one first so by the time I needed to go back to school for the spring semester, I could drive. Nope! He did the right foot second and I spent a good part of that first semester back at school driving with my left foot! Fortunately, I had a big old car with bench seats and I could just sling my right leg over the seat and get it out of the way. Not very " ladylike " but it worked, lol! It didn't take long at all to learn how to drive with my left foot instead of the right one. I couldn't imagine trying to drive with the cast and boot!!!
