Looks great, Melody! If you had let the leaves get REALLY dry-beyond the

" crunchy " point, they would have made an even finer powder. A coffee bean

grinder is a great way to buzz up herbs (provided you don't use it for coffee

beans too-can transfer flavor of coffee to herb, and herb to coffee-I keep a

grinder just for herbs, seeds, nuts, etc) BUT...if you have a larger amount of

leaves and do them in the Vitamix, it will be a lovely fine powder.

what kind of trays? Sunflower seeds, chia and flax would need soil or a medium

right? Would the regular seed growing trays work for those?

stevia powder before it's quite different than using the store products which

are mixed with other agents. Green stevia should be allowed to settle after

mixing into say, iced tea or other beverage or it will taste pretty awful. Very

tiny amounts will suffice. in smoothies it should be blended in with your other

ingredients.

Oh, the Vitamix?? I'll need LOTS of leaves for that. And next time I'll make

them dry for 4 or more days. This was only 24 or so hours.

How cool is this?

Subject: First time sportier

Hey gang

About to start on this whole sprouting adventure. Just trying to figure out what

equipment and which seeds I should start with. I will add that I do garden and

also I'm vegan/ whole foods and make everything from scratch so I'm used to

putting in some time with stuff. I'd like to grow some micro greens.

So what do you recommend as a good place to start ?

No....no aftertaste, but then we are talking about MY tastebuds in my mouth. We

are all different. Everyone has different tastebuds in their mouth which can be

a bit more sensitive to sweet stuff than other people.

I do not like Truvia. I tasted it. I don't like it. I have had Sweet Leaf

Stevia and purvia and they're fine. I also have liquid Stevia (which seems to

last forever, thank goodness).

But soon, I'll have more leaves, do more Stevia grinding and then I'll put it in

my coffee and I'll update all of you.

I always recommend that people make chocolate/peanut butter/banana ice cream

AFTER making peanut butter in the Vitamix to " clean " the container from making

the peanut butter! That way, not a speck goes to waist! There are more yummy

recipe videos at this link: Special Vitamix Offer

www.vitamix.com/household/health/gluten_free.asp?COUPON=06-004209

Use coupon code 06-004209 for free shipping!

There are some on the Blendtec site too-recipes will work in either of the

machines: Here is the Blentec link:

I made homemade carpet cleaner in my Vitamix this week, using all natural stuff

from the kitchen...it smelled good enough to eat, and was nice to know I COULD!
