Guest guest
dona.....i'm glad that you like your sproutmaster.....i really like mine too.....i bought the small set.....you do know that you can get the little sampler collections from sproutpeople.org too, don't you ?.....i've bought them and learned what i like and don't like.....then you can order larger quantities if you like something.....peace, mary > > During all my weeks of testing and being very impatient to " get into " sprouting, I've been doing a lot of reading and searching for helpful information. This may be helpful for other newer sprouters. > > I discovered something on sproutpeople.org that I had previously missed: the seeds they offer in their starter sprouting kits (that include sprouting devices) are available as replacements of seeds only. Example: you can get 1/4# each of the nine seeds and mixes that are in their leafy greens starter kit for $26.12 - over two pounds of seed. Anyway, those are exactly the kind of mixes I was looking at, but didn't know if I would like enough to order a whole pound. This will probably be my next purchase. There are several other types of seed replacements available. > > Dona >
Guest guest
Yes, but again I get into that pesky shipping cost issue. If I bought only one " unit " of the 5 sampler pack, the shipping would be $11.91. I just decided to bite the bullet and placed an order for the leafy sprouts replacement seed (2-1/4 pounds), a pound of sunflower seeds, baby blanket and kelp fertilizer, all for $14.58 shipping. (Also, with my success rate, I didn't think these " single serving " sizes would give me my best chance of producing something edible. Don't want to be negative, but...just realistic.) I order so much through Amazon that I joined their Prime membership and get most stuff shipped free in two days. It's kind of spoiled me. Guest guest
dona.....i do understand the shipping issue.....i tell them how much i disapprove of their system when i order.....i don't think that it is being negative.....my last order came to $65 plus and the shipping came to $20 plus.....i think that it would be irresponsible to not object to that.....they did send me a refund because it was sent in a flat rate box though.....that is honest.....enjoy all of your new stuff !.....peace, mary > you do know that you can get the little sampler collections from sproutpeople.org too, don't you ?.....i've bought them and learned what i like and don't like.....then you can order larger quantities if you like something.....peace, mary > > >
