Guest guest
No, this is wrong. I have put lots of muscle mass on in the past three years and made parts of my body start working again through the use of yogatuneup. Also, you must think about movements you cannot now make. Thinking about making the movement while trying to make the movement will result in as new neural pathway being made, whereafter the muscles can be built up. I can straightened my fingers which do not now claw-up, I have reduced the kyphosis in my back, changed the place of my head on my shoulders, and found sure-footyedness in ankles that were many times sprained and broken. And my calves are much larger and there is new muscle to be felt all the way down to the foot. And I can drum my toes. So, the doctors are wrong. the muscles do not become something else which, when finally enervated, cannot be regrown.

Guest guest
That is great ! What kind of CMT do you have? Do you feel it is primarily yoga or also other vitamins/supplements too? Diet? Guest guest
Hi , The statement muscles that have atrophied is wrong according to my doctors too, with a slight nuance. Muscles that have about 20% mass remaining can be rebuilt. Muscles that have atrophied to less than 20% of their original mass cannot be rebuilt. There is also a significant body of research forming on the power of thought to stimulate new neural pathways. I have found in my own training that it is possible to regain mass, but it may take me up to 4x as long as a " non CMT " person to do so. Good luck, Donna from London www.beatinglimitations.com > I have put lots of muscle mass on in the past three years and made parts of my body start working again > > Thinking about making the movement while trying to make the movement will result in as new neural pathway being made
Guest guest
Wow, , can you lead us to a site for yogatnneup? Sounds wonderful! My husband has Parkinson's and I must be the primary mover and shaker around here these days. Certainly would help me even at my old=er age. P. In a message dated 12/8/2010 11:20:51 A.M. Guest guest
I read research on treatments to help create muscle mass. Thus, I pray that when the CMT treatments appear, the muscle creating treatments also appear. Then, my nerve and muscle grow up simultaneously.
