Guest guest
, would you mind sharing your opinion on the Nesco dehydrators? I know that Excalibur is generally considered " the best " , and if I really got into dehydrating, I'd probably go with it. However, I just wasn't sure I wanted to jump into that pricy an item when I'm not sure dehydrating would turn out to be a long-term " investment " . So several months ago I was checking out the Nesco website for their big roasters and saw that they had dehydrators. I don't recall the price, but I believe it was comparable or just slightly more than the usual Sunbeam dehydrators that seem to pop up if you're looking for a brand other than Excalibur. And I trust the Nesco name. While I had originally been thinking that maybe I'd try the dehydrating thing this summer with produce from the farmers' market (St Farmers' Market's summer hours start next weekend - YAY!!), for various reasons, it won't happen until next summer at earliest. But I would be interested to hear about your experiences with the Nesco dehydrators, opinion on difference between it and the Excalibur, whatever you want to share to educate me on dehydrating. Does a great job. The dehydrator is good to preserve food when you hit a good sale or have a bumper crop ... I use it a lot. > > Terry > > Sent from my iPad > > ------------------------------------ > >
