Guest guest
Grace brought home her report card today. It was the best one yet this year (last year's teacher was way more creative). She's in regular third grade, with special Ed math daily and special Ed reading as needed. Of particular interest though, I started giving her Cod Liver Oil capsules last month, and when I went on a field trip two weeks ago, her teacher mentioned to me what a difference she was seeing in Grace and her reading skills and comprehension. So in the comments section was how much Grace has improved this quarter in her reading. She got an A. She also got great marks from her science teacher, who commented how much more she is participating in class and contributing to class discussions. She got a B+. I have not mentioned to the teachers what I was doing or what I changed. I am so excited for her, especially because I know how much she has changed at home. She is a much more loving child. And she is going to sleep much easier and earlier than the 11 or 12 PM she was having. Yesterday she and I went shopping (Target, Staples and PetSmart - three of her favorite non-mall stores). I got her a " frosty beverage " at Target because we were having freaky 80 degree weather. We walked to the car with our purchases and drove down to park closer to Staples. She left her Coke in the car. On the way over to PetSmart after we browsed at " Gel Pens " at Staples, she mentioned that her Coke was probably getting warm. And she said to me, " But that's OK, it's a sweet life. " Now, I know that this is something she probably heard on Nickelodeon, but she remembered it and applied it to the situation. I could have burst into tears. I think she meant that she was just having a good time. Joan Welch AOL IM: Jmcgwelch ````````````````````````````````````````` " Will there be refreshments?
