Guest guest
 I use distilled in our CPAP machines in the humidifier. I switched to Spring water some years ago for drinking as i didn't figure there was anything in distilled water and needed minerals. I did distill my own for a number of years when living in Ohio as they had fertilizer run off into the water supply and had nitrates in the water. But if there is anything negative in the water from the spring, the distilled might be better and we don't know.   But I rely on Spring water. Unfortunately I use the bottles because it measures the amount I drink for me. I sure don't trust tap water. I can carry it with me. I do have a BPA free bottle from Craig. But hard to keep cold. Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Friday, April 27, 2012 7:58 PM Subject: Distilled Water not safe for continuous use. Folks, I just had to weigh in here on this topic. Damage from continuous use of Distilled water will not show up for years. One of my friends put it this way... " Distilled water is best for doing cleanses. Then, when cleanse is finished, stop using. It is considered to be acidic. You don't want your body to be out of balance with the alkalinity. Mineral or spring water is best for long term, as tap water has fluoride and or chlorine in it. (good to use in your steam iron, though! Will keep it from rusting!). She also recommended this book....*Alkalize or Die *by Dr. Theodore A. Baroody Some info about this book...... This powerful book carries an important message that can benefit everyone—a message destined to revolutionize health care of the future with one simple principle—ALKALIZE YOURSELF! The world is facing the largest health crisis in recorded history. Dr. Baroody's comprehensive research and clinical findings indicate that illness and disease are directly linked to overacidity in the system. The polluted air we breathe, the chemicalized food and water we ingest are just part of the problem. Stress on all levels—physical, emotional, mental and even spiritual cause the body to overproduce acid wastes, upsetting our delicate alkaline/acid balance. *DISCOVER:*  - Clear definitions of alkaline and acid.  - What causes tissue acid wastes.  - Why hydrochloric acid is good for you and other acids are not.  - The alkaline needs of glands and organs.  - The truth about contagious diseases.  - How to prevent acid-related maladies that accelerate aging. *LEARN HOW TO:*  - Choose foods that create alkalinity.  - Prepare alkaline-forming meals using the *21 day meal planner.*  - Take nutritional supplements for proper alkaline/acid balance.  - Use the new " super foods " for building alkalinity.  - Neutralize any type of stress. One of the reasons that Distilled water is used to detox is it leaches on to impurities etc. in our bodies and flushes them out through our kidneys. It removes the good along with the bad. That is why it is not recommended to drink for more than 30 days at a time. I don't feel that drinking distilled water all the time is safe. I love the taste of distilled water but will not drink it all the time. I suggest everyone that is interested in distilled water do research on their on and look at the positive and negative reports about drinking distilled water and make up your own minds. Guest guest
We drink Deer Park or Penta water. We are renting or we would have probably a Blue Rhino water system. R.
