Guest guest
I used to use toothpaste and then wanted something better. Then I used (for a short time) baking soda and sea salt. I stopped when my hygienist (the one who cleans my teeth) told me about this combination will scratch my enamel beyond repair. Now I am trying a product, in liquid form. I have done it for 2 months. It is made of 3 essential oils, almond oil, peppermint oil and spearmint oil. I am very ok with it, though it can feel very strong when I first used it. Some people said that it has helped them with their gum problems. For me, I just do not like the foaming agent in toothpaste. > > > > Was it you who asked about toothpaste? Everyone used to use salt and baking soda to brush their teeth. Does a good job, but doesn't taste the best. Not sure what you could put in with it to make it better. Somehow chopped up green mint won't do it unless you use some water >
Guest guest
Hi , I usually do not check emails this fast or everyday, so you will have to forgive me if I do not get back to you sooner, or I may just miss them. I happened to stay on the system and saw your request. I do not make this one myself, thus no recipe. It is actually what I learned from the Greensmooth.com where I got my automatic sprouter. The designer is called Val Acher . It is a product she uses and it is from OraMD. They have a special formula using these 3 essential oils, but of course keep it a company secret. http://www.oramd.com/?a_aid=497451e2cb6eb Val also gave another tip very suitable for us in this sprouting group, " Enamel is the hardest substance in our body – 96% of it is pure minerals! Enamel's chief mineral is hydroxylapatite, a crystalline calcium phosphate. You see how we get the calcium/phosphorus ratio here too? Leafy greens in Green Smoothies and Sesame Seed Milk give you the best minerals for your teeth! " > > > > > Now I am trying a product, in liquid form. Guest guest
Salt is an abrasive. I have put salt on a hot pan stain on a table and with some linseed oil (could probably use mayo too) and gently rub with a soft cloth and it can take the white spot off or reduce it. Won't do all of them. I guess it could be harsh to the enamel. but might take some stains off. I think of the dentist with those scrapers they use and don't know how salt could be any worse. Guest guest
that is interesting. Teeth are the biggest cause of heart problems. That is why when people who have heart problems must take antibiotic before a dentist will clean their teeth or do any dental work.  We don't always think of the mouth and becteria in it affect the heart. Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Friday, April 6, 2012 9:47 PM Subject: Re: Toothpaste and Mouthwash  Hi , I usually do not check emails this fast or everyday, so you will have to forgive me if I do not get back to you sooner, or I may just miss them.
