Guest guest
Going over what is available locally - white field , reg field, purple hull, crowder, black eye and the only one I am familiar with, the regular round green pea (called English). I now live in southern Alabama and in all my travels, USA & Europe, I've never seen so many different peas. When I see them growing in the fields, all look like bean plants. The only ones looking like peas are the English. Now do they all taste the same as shoots? Has anyone grown the different kinds? Guest guest
I grow many different varieties of peas, beans, etc.-they all have a pretty distinctive flavor from each other, but all are lovely. Experiment with them! Peas are surprisingly easy to grow in containers, too!
