Guest guest
Some of you may remember last year I started some fundraising of winetastings to benefit CMT Awareness AND the CMT Association. I wrote about how I started this in one of the past CMTA newsletters and this has become a 'model' for CMT Awareness and fundraising in other states as well. We had great success, I posted a bunch of photos on my Facebook page so take a look if you haven't already. So now I just wanted to let everyone know that Jeff Lockwood from Bella Cavalli Farms and Vineyard has cut back his winetasting program for nonprofits through the year to 3. But this is a Good Thing! Because... That includes American Cancer Society, the Santa Barbara Foodbank AND THE CMTA! We're in quite good company! The format is a bit different, he will be donating 5% of all sales, whether on the weekend OR during the week to the Non Profits I mentioned above, on a rotating basis. So if any of you in the So. Calif. area need a great day getaway or weekend of fun (lots more to do here than wine tasting!) please plan on coming to Solvang and bring your friends! And let me know when you do! Just to whet your appetitite " snowbirds " - in addition to the beautiful vineyards and equestrian center, we are having weather in the mid-70s, great dry sunny days, beautiful green hills and blue skies. Picture idylic So. Calif. Solvang is a mere 35 miles from Santa Barbara. So if you're on the 101, north or south, take that Hwy. 246 turnoff and plan a visit! No, I don't work for the Visitors and Convention Bureau - lol Gretchen
Guest guest
Not particularly a CMT-related comment--more of a " small world " one--but in 1993, Jeff Lockwood was a builder in Virginia, and he built the house that we still live in. It's nice to know that he's doing well AND helping out the cause. > So now I just wanted to let everyone know that Jeff Lockwood from Bella Cavalli Farms and Vineyard has cut back his winetasting program for nonprofits through the year to 3.
