Medicare Insurance Waiting Period

Thanks, Clyde, for that clarification. I thought they told me 24 months when I

was recently approved for SSDI.

(What kind of wacko system agrees that somebody is disabled and unable to work,

but then says they have to wait 24 months for health coverage? This strikes me

as supremely bizarre.)

I wonder what people on this list have done during that waiting period for

obtaining insurance coverage? Or did they just do without and pray for health?

Peace,

Lynna

....if you are under 65 years old and receiving SSDI the Medicare benefit

typically kicks in after 24 months, not 1 year.
