Guest guest
In a 10 rep max the pause between reps # 1 and 2 would surely be shorter than the pause between reps #9 and 10. In other words, the pauses between reps are not the same even on a 5 rep max set, let alone 10. I feel that if a real 10 rep max was done, the trainee would be physically incapable of moving the bar due to muscle failure. Even in rep/pause fashion. Which leads to an interesting possibility: perhaps what he thought was a 10 rep max was not? Anyway, my point was that IMHO there are better ways to begin the program. The 20rep set is not performed in this manner-as described previously, youtake increasingly longer pauses between reps.
