Guest guest
Hey , Congratulations! I'm now in my 8th week and have been in a walking cast for approximatly 2 of them. Everything seems to be going well and the doctor says it was a success. One thing that is a very strange sensation is actually stepping on my heel. Before, the heel rolled and it was more like stepping on the side of my foot. This started a deformity. Now I stand on what the doctor says is the tri-point stance. Kinda cool, but still a little wierd. D
Guest guest
, Congratulations on your successful foot surgery! Surgery is never an easy option, but it is worth it when the outcome is good. My husband (non-CMT) had his knee replaced and the outcome was so successful it was worth all he went through. He walks so much better and faster than he could previously. His quality of life is so much better! Hope your recovery continues well for you! Guest guest
, Glad it went well. My son in law attends Northwestern and I can't think of a better hospital to be at as a student or patient. In a message dated 11/25/2010 4:58:26 P.M. The procedure was done out of Northwestern hospital in Chicago. Well, after 6 weeks, and 2 casts. I am finally in a walking cast! The therapy has started. Twice a week for the next six weeks. It was strange taking a few steps with the redone foot. The high arch is not as noticeable. The whole architecture of the foot is very different now. If, I had to do it over again. I, would in a minute.
