Guest guest
Thanks for your post (and links) and others' feedback on my question. I got the vitamin D warning information from this site- http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/1173484-overview, down at the bottom, under miscellaneous, special concerns. I'm delighted to know this shouldn't be an issue for me. Thanks again Dave > > Dave, > > Where did you get the idea Vitamin D is not good for people with CMT? > That's not true. A multi-Vitamin has 'balanced' amounts in it. If your doctor recommends a multi-Vitamin, ask which one he/she suggests. (you can make a list of all of them by going to your pharmacy and perusing the Vitamin section). Then ask your doc which one is best. > > You might want to read through this http://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/vitamind/ > > When taking vitamins or supplements, the key is not to take 'megadoses' (meaning more than suggested). An exception to this would be if your doctor found you were deficient in a certain Vitamin and part of your therapy would be a prescribed larger dose for awhile. > > Vitamin D is also found in foods. That website has a list. > > Gretchen >
