Guest guest
HI Donna, Great blog and video clips-- thank you! I noticed in your exercise clip that it looks like you wear a type of ankle wrap or AFO? May I ask what type it is? It looks good. I have CMT1A and it looks like we are pretty similar in a lot of aspects -- all the best for your training! Sam > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Sam, You are welcome! I use the Push Aequi braces for additional ankle support. These braces don't limit the push motion in my feet as they use only rigid supports around the ankle and heel, and rely on elastic and velcro. My physiotherapist likes them in that they add stability but without limiting my range of movement, which she wants to preserve (to avoid any deterioration associated with not using particular muscles). I only use the Push braces when running. And of course orthotic inserts. I need to do my blog on my most recent orthotic insert experience - I was super lucky and went to a lab where they did full gait analysis on pressure plates, to develop a solution that I really am liking a lot! http://www.pushstore.co.uk/494_320111/Push_Ortho_Ankle_Orthosis_Aequi.html I do not wear the Push braces when doing yoga, or when doing core / rehab work when I am not at the track. I was running at the track after this rehab session, that is why I was wearing them in the videos. I like the track for running as it is a smooth surface. Little to trip on there, except my own feet :-) Take care, Donna www.beatinglimitations.com > > HI Donna, > > Great blog and video clips-- thank you! > > I noticed in your exercise clip that it looks like you wear a type of ankle wrap or AFO?
