Stents are like tiny straws that are placed into any vessels (usually coronary

arteries in the heart) that are being narrowed for any reason. It creates a

pathway for blood to more easily get through a narrowed area so that oxygen can

be delivered to all the tissues. It's usually an alternative that is less

invasive than by-pass.

I can't see any reason they shouldn't be just as helpful to someone with CMT as

anyone else.
