Guest guest
I was going to wait to announce this awhile with CMT Awareness Month 2011, but since Congress is about to axe Federal funding for medical research, now's the time. Please go to our Files section. Click on Awareness 2011. Open that File. Go to the " Letter for Senators... " open that and use it to send to your Congressional Representatives about CMT and the need not only for Awareness but the need for funding. You may want to include a copy of our 2011 Poster as well as something from your own story. Your representatives are supposed to work for YOU! Make sure your " employees " hear you and do their jobs! Feel free to change any wording, this is just one example. You can find links to who your reps are there and their emails and snailmails. Don't let CMT funding get axed! Guest guest
Hi Gretchen, Do you have details on what is being considered by Congress? Any links to articles/information about the funding that's in jeopardy? I'd like to reference the proposed action we would like blocked. I apologize if I missed this elsewhere. in So Calif (40's, CMT1a) From: gfijig <gfijig@...> Subject: Write Your Senators and Representatives Now! Guest guest
Hi , Some links to peruse, but 2 toppers are not only cuts to medical research, but to Social Security and Medicare as well. (This is a bi-partisan issue, however, please remember that we do not discuss individual " opinions " on ) That letter I drafted was primarily to make policymakers more 'aware' of CMT. It just so happens that medical research funding is on the chopping block, not only for us, but others as well. Tune into C Span too.
