Guest guest
Hello Barb, You don't mention your age, but heart issues can give you that faint feeling and recovery in a few seconds. Apnea and reduced tactile senses are both associated with CMT/HNPP and can produce balance problems as well as vertigo. We usually don't consider mild effects from multiple problems which produce second order conditions. Each problem alone might not be enough, but two or three at the same time could produce a stronger effect. 75 EdM from NH (HNPP)

Guest guest
Hi Edwin, Thanks for your response. I am 53 years old and have seen several doctors over the past 6 months and my heart has been checked- blood pressure, cholesterol levels, extensive blood tests, and the doctors think my heart is healthy. So I don't think its that. I had vertigo issues about three times in the past 4 years or so, but it was diagnosed as BPPV and the symptoms definitely pointed to that as a correct diagnosis. (Room spinning when I would lie down in bed/ change head positions to the right, etc.). What I have been experiencing recently is not vertigo, but dizziness and feeling slightly faint- but the feeling only lasts a few seconds and Saturday was the last time I had it. Blessings, Barb from South Africa, mild sensory CMT (likely CMT1A or 1B)
