Haven't taken any of that since yesterday 11am, and was only doing 1 or 2 on days the pain was really bad. Am kind of cautious about getting hooked on pain killers! Have seen what they can do. Bottom line = I don't like this feeling and would like it gone. Be well,
Guest guest
, I need to take a break from all supplements for awhile sometimes - usually every 6 months, sometimes a month or so, especially in the summer. I have always done this, then found " validation " for the idea in Dr Balentine's book _Radical Healing_. I would check on the yeast bit - B's I can't take at all bc of the same. FWIW. > I just went a couple of days of stopping all supplements and found out that > my stomach felt so much better.
Guest guest
, do the vitamins and minerals bother your stomach even when you take them in a liquid form? Do you think the problem may be caused by the additives in pills? As for the bromelain- some people are allergic to pineapple - and as we all know very well allergies cause variety of problems. Wish you find out what could safely work for you. Guest guest
I've had stomach problems from taking bromelain. It seems to eat the lining of my stomach, making me feel like I have an ulcer. If I take bromelain, it has to be with food, and I have to take DGL (deglycerizinated licorice) with it to counteract the irritation to my stomach. lindaj@... Guest guest
I've had stomach rumbling all my life---when it's empty. I always thought it was normal, until recently, I've been rethinking it. Is it normal? I'm not familiar with the buzzing. I have so many symptoms, I am always shocked when I don't have one someone else does. I'm sure someone else will let you know though. Guest guest
hey thanks again Tina. You're great!! I will do that. Chris stomach STOMACH ACID ASSESSMENT For this test you will need some fresh baking soda. The purpose of this test is to give us a rough indication as to whether your stomach is producing adequate amounts of hydrochloric acid. The most scientific test for assessment of hydrochloric acid levels is the Heidelberg test. Gastrocaps can also be used to measure hydrochloric acid levels with good accuracy. Both these methods are somewhat cumbersome however, and involve a visit to a doctor for you to swallow a special capsule, which is used to measure acid levels. Hydrochloric acid is important for digestion and absorption of many nutrients. When hydrochloric acid is lacking, malnutrition results. Also, because hydrochloric acid kills many bacteria, yeasts, and parasites, its insufficiency is associated with greater incidence of gastrointestinal infection. Hypochlorhydria (inadequate hydrochloric acid production) is linked to not only gastrointestinal symptoms, but also to autoimmune diseases and degenerative diseases of all kinds. To perform this test: mix one quarter teaspoon of baking soda in eight ounces of cold water, first thing in the morning, before eating or drinking anything except water. Drink the baking soda solution. Time how long it takes to belch. Time up to five minutes. If you have not belched within five minutes stop timing anyway. If your stomach is producing adequate amounts of hydrochloric acid you should probably belch within two to three minutes. Early and repeated belching is consistent with excessive stomach acid. Belching results from the acid and baking soda reacting to form carbon dioxide gas. The Heidelberg or Gastrocap tests can be employed for confirmation of the results of this test. Guest guest
Hi Emilie, I don't know what to think about - it isn't unusual for food to take a little more than a day to digest, but does seem strange for it to be recognizable a day later. Since it is happening shortly after going to bed, and only happening once (if I understand right) I would be inclined to think that reflux could be part of the problem. Just a guess though. Guest guest
Our son used to always throw up. It got to be a joke and we had to plan outings around him doing it. No one could tell us anything. After two years we finally found the answer. He needed his adenoids out, they were huge. He was six when he got them out, and he has been fine ever since. Just a thought. Stomach > > Hi all and Happy Valentines Day!! > > Got a question for everyone.. > > The last two nights, has been up vomitting. The thing is, during the day she is fine. Guest guest
this is exactly whats happening to my belly too. I read somewhere that the wrong exercise can expand that muscle on the side - whats it call - i fergat rather than contract em. someone recommended stomach vacumms and the plank - do a search. it was yesterday or the day before. Ima try 'em. HTH > > I am very lean and my stomach is very hard. I can't see the 6 pack that I'd like though. Also, this may sound weird, but even though there's not really fat on my stomach, I have loose skin and it looks rounded, almost like I'm pregnant (which I'm NOT!) I'm not sure if I'm doing the wrong exercises or what, but my waist is increasing and my stomach is getting rounded instead of flat. Any ideas why? > > __________________________________________________ >

You can cleanse you colon this way; eat a big bowl of cooked oatmeal with apples every day for 7 days. this will work ! > > Well, there can be a LOT of reasons a stomach hurts. Guest guest
yes- frequently!! I have always had a weak stomach I'd say but was treated about year and half ago for h. pylori bacteria and did a 2 wks cleansing routine- nothing really crazy- mainly organic- not processed food and " whole cleanse " detoxifying pills. Seemed to really help for a while and now the last few months yucky again- esp w/ MTX although switched several wks ago to injection- nausea not as bad but stomach still feels " rotten " often. Coke helps settle it sometimes- weird but it does...I tried eliminating foods number of yrs ago and never found a " trigger " I could identify. When I saw the G.I. doc who treated me for the h. pylori he did a gall bladder function test and I was " on the low end of normal " but not low enough to remove it although he said most likely it will continue to decrease in function and eventually will probably want to remove it. Hope any of the above may help you...sorry for the " rotten " stomach- I know it sucks!! in MN
Guest guest
Any time I've taken MTX, my doctor has strongly recommended folic acid supplements. My latest doc even gave me a prescription for it, even though it's available over the counter (OTC). Rich
Guest guest
Kate Thank you for writing:-). There is no doubt about that the stomach, nasuea and vomitting has something to do with CMT. I have had problem with my stocmach since I was a teenage, long time before I even knew anything about CMT. My best wishes for your husband and you:-) Marika > > > >
Guest guest
I do not feel stomach problems are directly associated with CMT. Out of 8 research articles, 5 mention individuals with stomach issues and 2 of these articles are about Ascorbic Acid (Vit C) which we know. This is just not a wide enough body for me to believe. Stomach problems can happen because of medications that act as irritants such as Naproxen or Alleve or even aspirian. Niacin can cause stomach issues. Narcotic medication will also slow the digestive system down, causing problems. Stomach problems can also occur when one isn't drinking enough water. Foods can also trigger stomach problems such as not enough fiber. Anxiety or depression can cause stomach problems. So, indirectly, maybe the stomach takes a beating. We owe it to ourselves to take the best care of our bodies we can. Below is an article FYI from C's website, not sure of the date. Gretchen Gastrointestinal concerns People with CMT often experience reflux, (a backing up of the acid in the stomach into the esophagus and sometime the mouth), diarrhea and constipation but then so do millions of people without CMT. No one has ever done research on CMT and gastrointestinal problems so no one knows if CMT actually adds to the gastrointestinal problems we experience. Some research on gastrointestinal problems and CMT would be welcome by many. This Web site could help anyone in the scientific community get started by posting a survey here and those with gastrointestinal problems and CMT could fill it out. Until then, most of us treat our reflux, diarrhea and constipation by seeing our doctor and using prescribed or over the counter remedies. Over the years several people with CMT have talked to us about diarrhea, especially in children, so severe that the child failed to thrive. Whether this was or was not resolved is not known but we haven't heard of any child dying from diarrhea connected to CMT. Please know it is not common.
