Guest guest
Have been lurking lately, too sick to respond but the anger, rage thread has me interested. My 15 year old who is supposedly in remission after 2 bouts has changed so dramatically over the past 3 months. He even almost threw a chair at a teacher today. He came to us a few weeks ago in tears saying he is scared of the anger he feels. His friends have changed, old ones don't want to be with him. It is Jekyl/Hyde with him.. GP put him on Amatrax for the rage and Zoloft but he has app't next week with brain guy that handles other son. I think his lyme is back so am gonna do LUAT. But he is so mad and refuses to do it. He is so scared of Lyme after what older brother went through (OCD, brain damage, etc.). Will let you all know what happens. Am gonna share the post from Snadra about her hubbie with him. Sharon - Hunterdon County, NJ Chronic Lyme since 1989 Son - Mike,20, neurolyme since 1995 @ college, sees Fallon Daughter - Christie,19,chronic lyme since 1996- remission Son - Dan,15, 2nd remission? Guest guest
hi sharon, i am sorry you are feeling so bad. it is very hard to deal with our kid's anger if we could feel well. i know there are times when my son, daughter and i can all be struggling with anger and we just feed the fire of each other. i hope you can get the help you need. http://members.xoom.com/LDANJ/ldanj009.htm this page can not be cut and pasted. it should be helpful with dealing with your school. health, kay
Guest guest
I also have a problem with anger. I feel like I am always about to explode. It is most evident with my family so it is really hard for me to deal with. I don't want to be angry at my children all the time for no reason. I have heard that there is a correlation between the liver and anger. Maybe we need to cleanse the liver to release some of that anger. Guest guest
Thanks for your input. Liver cleanse is next, after bowel, I'll keep you updated and please likewise. PS I purposefully am not married and have no children because I have not had the energy or pleasant disposition to deal with all that. Sometimes, it's all I can do to get home from work. I often think how on earth could I take care of kids? Good luck to you. Matty --- Geoffroy <MIchellecmc@...> wrote: > From: Geoffroy <MIchellecmc@...> > > I also have a problem with anger. Guest guest
Take a look at SAD (seasonal affective disorder) because staying indoors, especially in winter can cause severe mood swings. I'm not suggesting that Lyme is not primary problem but this can be an added aggravant. Also Vegetarians should check their B12 level. One more important thing I learned in the book COPING WITH LYME: It is mentioned that ibupofren and other anti-inflamattory drugs can lower anti-bodies count. (page 53 of revised edition). Therefore anyone taking painkillers of this sort should consider this problem when testing for anti-bodies. It is also mentioned here that false positives can occur because of other viruses that can reveal the same sort of antibodies on the Western Blot. Sorry I have had computer problems and was offline for several days until now. When daughter had + on antibody test (10/99), I called pathologist who did the test & asked about false positives (not on WB - but antibody test) & he told me that the only other organisms that could possibly cause a false positive were other spirochetal organisms - syphillus, gum disease or leptospirosis. Is this not also true with WB - or is WB somehow different? BTW - glad you're back online! Blessings & velcros, Chris

Guest guest
Yesterday I observed the Opposite of road rage in a large group of us from northern Florida. In evening rush traffic, a semi-truck made the mistake of taking a turn at a prime intersection too widely. He was caught up on the median blocking the opposing lanes of traffic. I was back a ways in the waiting traffic. I started backing up, the rest took my hint giving the driver a large area to come on over and make a huge circle to correct his error instead of trying to back up, etc. It took quite a while. It must have been his first run in his new Hummer rig:-) We all sat quietly. No one honked, hollered or anything. We were all quite civilized. How refreshing ~! Guest guest
Adrienne The next time I get a cold nose, I'll check my ears. I have problems with my left ear. It's not cold, but whenever I overdo it, it feels like someone stuffed in a beach ball. Anger can only exist if we make a judgment about something. If we don't judge we have nothing to get angry about. Very difficult to do. To become aware of judging, spend a day making a note of every judgment you make and then try to come up with a non-judgmental, neutral/supportive response. Not judging goes beyond being forgiving and understanding, it's letting the Universe unfold as it should.
