Just got this from the company that Anita said she gives her 7 yr old son. I

still want to see the packaging label though.

" The caffeine in Organo Gold products is naturally occurring. Naturally

occurring caffeine can vary depending on the variety of coffee or cacao beans,

the blend and/or the brewing method. The caffeine in instant coffee ranges from

approx. 60mg to 85mg per 8oz cup. The range of caffeine in cocoa beverages is

3-32mg per 8oz. cup, with the typical being approx. 6mg.

The amount of sugar in each Organo Gold product is listed in the Nutrition Facts

panel on each box. We also offer product options without any sugar " .

OK so there IS both caffiene and sugar in this. That's about the amount/effects

I got from small Ritalin in the 60' which totally screwed up my nerves by the

time I entered college and took a good 7 years to recover from.

Anita, I know you said this helps your son. Now. But, please be aware of

possible postponed until later in life.

Yes but I give him hot chocolate not coffee and only a cup everyday or every

other day. Also you are forgetting the ganoderma factor that has health

benefits. I recommend the coffee for adults that already drink regular coffee. I

am not creating a new habit. This is great for people that drink regular bad

coffee they can exchange it for healthier coffee. That's it. Thanks for your

info.

I also forgot to mention that for people that don't want to consume the coffee

or chocolate for whatever reason, there are pills available with just the

ganoderma in it. But dont worry Gretchen I understood you already. This product

might not be for you, but it can help others. It has helped other people and

doctors have approved it.

Anita,

I have received a further breakdown on the products. The hot chocolate has

glucoses syrup solids, vegetable fat, sodium Caseinate, Dipotassium Phosphate,

Pentasodium Triphosphate, mono and diglycerides, skim milk powder, riboflavin,

sodium aluminum, sugar, malt extract, cocoa, ganoderma extract and vanillin.

The entire pdf will be added to our Files asap.

I'm happy your son believe it helps him. However, anyone or any child with mold

or fungal allergies should be cautious about products with ganoderma in them and

that includes coffee. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ganoderma

Anita, can you provide us with the medical research abstracts or articles on

this? I know about it as published for inflammatory and immune disorders, but

there is nothing on it for CMT or peripheral neuropathy.

Everyone has something they 'swear by' I know I do, but as a person with CMT I

am always cautious with the 'cure of the moment' - last year we were on an Acai

tangent. There's all sorts of others. Some of you may want to sign up for

quackwatch.com alerts or just look around the site for substances flagged or

questionable.

Whoever is interested can research it on their own. If you check all my emails I

never said it cured CMT. All I said was that it helped my son with fatigue which

is due to his CMT. He is also constipated and that is not due to CMT. It helps

with diabetes, cancer, stress, etc. not due to CMT either. So I was just

recommending it in general.

And yes you are right people that are allergic to mushrooms can't take ganoderma

but you would know if you are allergic before taking it. Thanks again for the

info.
