Guest guest
Hello Marika, I have been on extended IV Vancomycin and Garamycin in the past and tolerated it quite well except for some weight loss. Once for replacement Aortic Valve protection and once for a pneumonia blood infection. These are very powerful antibiotics and more expensive than Penicillin. Selexid is a long acting penicillin of first choice of urinary lower tract infection. The V and the G are IV because they are toxic to the liver and need to be diluted.
