Guest guest
Hi Markita, I've been wondering where you've been. One of the " side effects " of Selixid is decreased level of carnitine in the body, particularly with long-term or repeated use (so the IV use would be included here too) This may cause symptoms such as muscle weakness or muscle loss, tiredness or lack of energy. Carnitine, derived from an amino acid, is found in nearly all cells of the body. Carnitine plays a critical role in energy production. It transports long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria so they can be oxidized ( " burned " ) to produce energy. It also transports the toxic compounds generated out of this cellular organelle to prevent their accumulation. Given these key functions, carnitine is concentrated in tissues like skeletal and cardiac muscle that utilize fatty acids as a dietary fuel. So it appears your 'natural' energy level is taking a beating from the Selixid. If your doctor still required you to take Selixed, ask your doc to test your Carnitine levels, and you may want to ask about Carnitine supplements. To clear your body of this, drink lots of water, eat right, and get plenty of rest.Antibiotics in general have always made me feel " sluggish " . And because of the fungus factor - I have always had an allery to fungal and mold deritivies that make me feel weak while curing the infection. Hope you will feel better soon! Guest guest
Hi Grethen... I have been right here :-)........just feeling very bad. The doctors have told me, that next time I get bladder infection and get fever, I have to go to the hospital and get IV megadose, same " horse doze " :-), just over a prolonged next time.... I will talk to my doctor about the Selexid problem. It has been very stressful the last couple of months, and now it really shows in my CMT. I'm so happy to hear from you.-) /Marika > > Hi Markita, > > I've been wondering where you've been.
