Guest guest
You know, I think we have all been lumped into a category that is neurologically called CMT for now. Twenty years from now, the younger CMT patients will be diagnosed with a more well-defined neuro-muscular disease. Our systems are alike, but, again, they are so different! I have never ha leg aches. I have such extreme neuropathy in my right hand, that I can't even go into my wallet to dole out change at the checkout. I always give dollar bills, or have my change ready to hand over when my car is in idle at the drive-thru. Still, half my change ends up falling under my seats. Wonder how much $ I have under there? LOL!! Margaret
Guest guest
I use dollar bills only and have a coin jar that I cash in periodically. It's a good way to save exra money:) From: MargaretL <ncyaya67@...> Subject: Re: managing handling coins Date: Tuesday, March 29, 2011, 11:37 AM Â You know, I think we have all been lumped into a category that is neurologically called CMT for now. Guest guest
I hear you Margaret! I'm 60. I have no drop foot, only progressive numbing of feet and fingers. Perhaps the other symptoms come later? As for now picking up or creating coin change is a real challenge at this time for me too. More so is the challenge of just writing my name! I used to do calligraphy. Grasping anything = " I'm not sure I've got it! " . You are not alone. Wheels, 60 yes old, land
Guest guest
Same here. I try to use a credit or debit card whenever possible, as cash & coin are just too difficult to use sometimes.
