With Thanks & Regards Rajakumaran.V Executive - SHE From: indiansafetyprofessionals [mailto:indiansafetyprofessionals ] On Behalf Of Haricharan Sent: Wednesday, February 06, 2008 11:51 AM To: indiansafetyprofessionals Subject: Solid Propellant Aerosol Generators (SPAG) - Reg. Dear All, I've been approached by a company called Pyrologics International who are marketing a product called Act Series Solid Propellant Aerosol Generators (SPAG). These are suppression systems which are imported from Russia. They work by breaking the flame chain i.e. O2 and Fuel chain thereby inhibiting the fire. They do not have any approval from India Govt., Institute or from any accredited international body for their products. Generally any fire suppression, fighting products have to be approved by CCOE, Nagpur and should be certified by Fire Lab at Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad who will rate the product's capability to handle various types of fires (A, B, C, D etc.) Does anyone from our group knows the capability of Solid Propellant Aerosol Generators (SPAG). Since Solid Propellant Aerosol Generators (SPAG) seem to be cost effective when compared to conventional fire suppression systems such as NAF, FM-200 etc. can we go for it. Please clarify. Thanks and regards K.
