Guest guest
Well, they have switched my daughter's medicine from Elavil (it was causing panic attacks and increased suicidal ideation) to Cymbalta yesterday. She usually wakes up with headaches but today she woke up with a really bad, debilitating headache that has lasted all day. I remember reading that low oxygen levels while sleeping can cause headaches and I am planning on getting her a sleep study when she is a bit more stable but are there any other causes of headaches that we may be overlooking? These headaches have been going on for about 3 months or so. We have ruled out foods (chocolate, etc)...she eats very healthy, no artificial sweetners or colors. We tried allergy medicine, air purifiers, etc. I'm just wondering if we could be missing something more obvious that could be causing her headaches. The neurologist at the hospital she is at is ordering an MRI because he feels her left side is worse than her right side (which I thought was not uncommon for CMT). Also, I just want to take a moment to thank everyone that has been helping me with my questions. With the situation going on right now with my daughter and so many decisions needing to be made quickly, I have not had time to thank everyone for their advice and assistance.
