Reg: Enquiry for Over hoist Limit Switch for HYDRA Cranes

Dear Sir

Myself Karthick.D, working as Safety Officer in L & T ECC Division.

In the process of Inspecting and Certifying, for Safety Features, Escorts HYDRA Cranes deployed by our Equipment Suppliers we found many of the Hired HYDRA Cranes doesn't have provision for Over Hoist Limit Switches.

Further, while discussing with Equipment Supplier they state that "Escort HYDRAs doesn't have Over Hoist limit Switches they have only WARNING Devices and they fail very frequently". Recently we also had an Accident with this kind of failure.

With this back Ground, May I request your good office to update us about,

Whether HYDRA Cranes of Available model have Over Hoist Limit Switches or Over hoist Warning Devices ? Any New Model arriving with the provision for Over Hoist Limit Switches ? Any Possibilities of providing Over hoist limit switches in the Hydra Cranes ?
