Guest guest
Artists - a big opportunity The Behring Institute is publishing the preliminary results of the Call for Placebos for Art today. This is an initial attempt to group, categorise and define the pieces, projects, paintings, pills and installations that look, sound, feel, or in some other way manifest as art but that are not actually art. Please find the report attached. (Note: this PDF is in our Files) We are working on the second phase of the Call for Placebos for Art under the name Art of Healing. For this we are collaborating with Data Control Group EGBG and the Foundation Art and Public Space (SKOR), both from the Netherlands. We will organise an exhibition with at least one other institute in which the Placebos for Art will be displayed alongside complementary pieces of non-placebo art. We are still looking for donors and funding. If you are or know one, please contact the Behring Institute by e-mail. Please feel free to send any tangible, displayable Placebo for Art (at your own expense and risk) to: Behring Institute Nieuwe Uilenburgerstraat 5 1011 LM Amsterdam The Netherlands Thank you very much for your time and patience taking the time to read this letter. We will keep you informed about our endeavours as we go forward. Kind regards, J. Andersom, P & R Manager j.andersom@...
