Vacancies in HSE Department - UAE

Status January 2007

1. Senior Safety Consultant

Accountabilities

· To perform safety engineering such as the design of safety systems

· To write HSE philosophies

· To perform fire engineering such as fire risk assessments

· To perform Risk Assessments (Quantitative and Qualitative)

· To prepare and perform HSE management system auditing

· To train and share knowledge with younger employees

· To provide input into tendering and business development processes

Requirements (knowledge)

· BSc. or MSc. degree in chemical engineering

· Postgraduate Qualification in safety engineering is an advantage

· At least ten years of relevant working experience

· Consultancy experience in the Oil & Gas sector

· Should have high standard communication and report skills in English

· Should be capable to work independently and as part of team

· Affinity with developments within the field of HSE

2. Safety Consultant

Accountabilities and requirements: see above. Experience may be less.

3. Fire Engineer / Consultant

Accountabilities

· To perform safety engineering such as the design of safety systems

· To write HSE philosophies

· To perform fire engineering such as fire risk assessments

· To provide input into tendering and business development processes

Requirements (knowledge)

· BSc. or MSc. degree in mechanical engineering

· Postgraduate Qualification in safety engineering is an advantage

· About 5 years of relevant working experience

· Consultancy experience in the Oil & Gas sector

· Should have high standard communication and report skills in English

· Should be capable to work independently and as part of team

· Affinity with developments within the field of HSE

4. Senior Environmental Consultant

Accountabilities

· To perform Environmental Impact Assessment Studies (main requirement) and other related subjects

· Act as project manager for these studies

· To perform the design and implementation of Environmental Management Systems

· To prepare and perform environmental management system auditing

· To train and share knowledge with younger employees

· To provide input into tendering and business development processes

Requirements (knowledge)

· BSc. or MSc. degree in chemical or environmental engineering

· Should have high standard communication and report skills in English

· At least 8 years of relevant working experience

· Should be capable to work independently and as part of team

· Affinity with developments within the field of HSE

· Knowledge of environmental legislation of the UAE is an advantage, but not an absolute requirement

5. Environmental Consultant

Accountabilities

· To perform Environmental Impact Assessment Studies (main requirement) and other related subjects
