Guest guest
, I have never heard of Sytrinol before. Does it work to lower LDL levels or just total cholesterol levels? What is the reason that you do not take statins? I was on lovachol (a statin) when I was diagnosed with CMT last September. My neurologist felt is was okay for me to continue since it was a low dose. However, a blood test in December showed high liver enzymes and normal LDL and cholesterol levels, so I was taken off of it. Another blood test 2 months later showed normal liver enzymes but climbing LDL and cholesterol levels. My doctor said to have it tested again in a few months- but to discontinue the statin for now and keep closer tabs on diet and exercise. But I am a fairly active person with a pretty low fat diet already, so will not be surprised if the cholesterol and LDL levels get to the point again where I will need medication. If you could send me a copy of the information you have on Sytrinol I would appreciate it. Blessings, Barb South Africa
