Guest guest
It was free because of the research and I think some MDA funding. Dr. Sahenk is doing research with NT-3 and Charcot Marie Tooth. I had her check out my 7 year old daughter and mostly I just wanted to see what was next with NT-3. She said they are 1 year down in a 3 year grant to test NT-3. She says they are waiting on the govt. to issue some kind of ID so they can start human clinical testing. She says they'll start on adults first and then kids. I told her I really have hope for NT-3 and she agreed and said she has alot of confidence in it. So anyways, it was cool and she was super nice and she is at Nationwide Childrens hospital in Columbus Ohio if anyone wants to set up an apt. Guest guest
Hi Amelia, Thanks for this post. I know NT-3 was back in clinical trials but didn't remember when human trials will begin. This is exciting, as this will be the second human trials for NT-3, the first outcome was very positive too! I think it was last year about this time she gave an update on NT-3 for CMT 1A at the AAN mtg. I think it's in our Files somewhere, along with her first trials report.
