Barb,

Perhaps an Endoncrinologist working with her Neurologist and or Physiologist can

run specialized blood tests. This is interesting, it mentions regulating " mood "

(as in depression) and " electrolyte hommeostasis (stabilization) This last part

about the electrolytes is important to those of us with CMT because our levels

need to be steady - calcium, potassium, magnesium, etc. I am also wondering

about having her Thyroid checked too. When I was about her age I had low

potassium levels and was prescribed a type of supplement for awhile. (like I'm

thinking 2 years or so with periodic checks) I also had Thyroid issues at that

time too.

" They regulate the body's metabolism, influencing eating and drinking behaviour,

and influence how energy intake is utilised, that is, how fat is metabolized.

They influence and regulate mood, body fluid and electrolyte homeostasis, and

blood pressure. This is from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neuroendocrinology
