Guest guest
Gretchen, I realise you are the leader in this group and you are trying to help people, as well as hoping for a cure for CMT some day; like all of us. I also realise that the American way isn't always the only way, let alone the right way. If you look into Traditional Chinise Medicine, they believe that any inflammation at any degree is infection. It doesn't say; definition of inflammation is infection but if you read articals from TCM doctors you don't even have to read between the lines to comprehend it. I believe we all have the ability to better our health no matter what the situation is. And not everyone can tolerate the American way; ( medicine that kills ) If I can't help anyone, because someone always has to be right, then I'm outta here. Chances of me taking poisin to be cured are 1 to none because scientists will never be able to cure disease. Nutrition will if the disease is caught in time. I'm sure you won't post this one and I don't care. Take me off your list if you wish. No lose to me.
Guest guest
, I appreciate your thoughts and sharing your experience with Eastern Medicine. We are all different and travel many paths in our quest to remain as healthy as we can. I posted the definitions simply for knowledge. In my experience, an infection can also cause inflammation in surrounding tissue, so the two * can * go hand in hand. Western medicine's use of anti-biotics saved me from a serious round of blood poisioning and also saved me from any lasting effects and heart damage from Rheumatic Fever. I am also painfully aware of my allergic reactions to many plant based alternatives such as Nightshades in diet, potato, tomato, and eggplant. Of these alkaloids, I am also allergic to Scopolamine (for motion sickness) and use Ginger instead. I am just curious, not trying to be right. How exactly has your CMT been * healed *, or are you just referring to infections and inflammation? I'd like to know about your gait, any balance difficulties, ataxia, tremors, using assistive devices, etc. Gretchen
