Guest guest
Hello everyone: We live in Austin, TX. For almost a month now my son, Casey age 35 has had progressive signs & symptoms of RA. It started in his fingers, then wrist, elbows, shoulders, lower neck, and knees, all bilateral. Swollen, stiff, and sometimes redden joints. I had to buy him a cane last week because he drags his feet. We saw an internal med. doctor on Monday who put him on prednosone 3 pills at once, one time a day for three days and we are to call him to see if Casey felt better, worse, or same. So far he feels 85% better. SOOOOOOOOOOOO it kinda sounds like RA. Also will get lab work back when we call Thursday of this week. Any help or suggestions for us? Thanks
Guest guest
Just remember, with a good rheumy doctor and some lifestyle changes your son will be able to live a full life. Ra has had many medical advances in the last 10years or so, and new drugs are in drugs trials right now. It sound like your son has caught the signs of RA early, and that is important.Don't give up, this group will give you lots of support and information. in WI Char <tcbmex@...> wrote: Hello everyone: We live in Austin, TX. Guest guest
Char, the best advice I can give you is to find an excellent rheumatologist for Casey. Not an MD I'll tell you where to go!
