Welcome, . Sorry you are having so many troubling symptoms. Have you

seen a rheumatologist yet? What tests have you had so far?

Not an MD

I'll tell you where to go!

Hi :

Welcome to the group - you will find wonderful, caring

and supportive people here, and great information from

our moderators, and a.

I have RA and FM, and some related problems, and it

does take some time to get diagnoses. It sounds like

you might have some sort of arthritic process going

on, and maybe it is lupus, but blood work does not

always show these things. It might take a while to

get a definate dx, and sometimes the blood work never

shows anything.

My first doctor told me that these immune system

diseases are sometimes very hard to dx, and that the

symptoms can overlap making it very difficult to tell

exactly what is going on, but she believed in treating

the symptoms and going from there. My blood work was

positive for RA, but so were all of my syptoms, so

that is what I was first treated for. Then along came

Fibro. It's very confusing at times just what came

when and for how long it was present before dx.

Besides the blood work, have you had any x-rays?

Those can be helpful in seeing if there is any joint

involvement or destruction, and might help point

toward a dx. Are you being seen by a rheumatologist?

A specialist is best for proper dx and treatment.

Hang in there - hopefully there will be a positive dx

for you soon, so that the appropriate treatment can be

started for you.
