Guest guest
Hi Kim, I'm a newbie here, only joined a few months ago. Glad to hear you finally got a good doc. RA usually affects both sides at the same time. Yes i have it in both knees pretty bad, but one swells more than the other... wierd. The nodule things you mentioned i've had on my elbows, but they have disappeared. Probably absorbed bacck into the body or something. Over time you may show signs in other joints, but it may not be anytime soon. Once you have RA it just depends on where it decides to rear its ugly face. Take care talk soon. from PA

Guest guest
I have had nodules in my elbow but they have disappeared. Where they went I do not know! Usually RA is symmetrical. I have one knee that swells and one that does not. However, if you look at XRAYS you would swear they are the same as they are down to the bone. I don't know if travel is the right word but you can present symptoms in other joints over time. Just because it is'tn in your knee today doesn't mean that it won't be later down the road. It took about 5 years to develop hand symptoms after my initial leg symptoms started. Shandi [ ] HI AGIN WITH QUESTIONS HI MY NAME IS KIM AND I HAVENT BEEN ON THE GROUP FOR ALMOST A YEAR. Guest guest
I'm very new to this, but my symptoms aren't always symmetrical. My Rheumatologist said it was unusual, but not at all unheard of. She called it " Palindromic RA " > > I have had nodules in my elbow but they have disappeared. Guest guest
Mine is like that. My symptoms have never been symetrical, except over the last 6 months or so in my shoulders. I feel like a hypochondriac because the pain DOES move around: hip today, feet tomorrow, ect. My orthopedist just laughed at me and said that I wasn't a hypochondriac because that is the nature of the disease. My rheumatologist said the same thing.......Marina > > > > I have had nodules in my elbow but they have disappeared. Where > they went I do not know! > > > > Usually RA is symmetrical.
