Guest guest
seemed like here it kinda came out of nowhere.but then it got ready to storm, dark and temp dropped, but then the storm took quite a long time to begin.and then here, it did not drop ANY rain at all. But then it also hung around much longer, staying dark and funny looking outside even tho it was not really doing much outside. KInda like a thunderstorm without the rain. I don't think it was even especially humid. I heard wonder lake and crystal lake got rain.....and the wind we got was just over our heads, in my trees, very strong, but seemed like on the ground it was not even really breezy. - In , " Ian " <ianchicago@...> wrote: > > That was a bizarre storm we had!! Guest guest
Dreamer, don't get too excited about doing a lot right now. I've been there and it's easy to over-do it. I still do, and have even ended up in the hospital because of it. I still haven't learned. In the beginning, when I couldn't get around at all, I'd look out at the acres of overgrown crops and cringe. I'd put thousands of dollars and lots of work into the orchards and my wife keeping it up, and now it's just a memory and a few plants that survived. Some days I can do about an hour's work and days like today, I lay around, not able to do anything. It's not what I wanted, didn't even get my glasses fixed yet, or anything else I wanted to do. I learned that it'll still be here tomorrow if it's supposed to be, and if it's not, oh, well. And if you need to, tell your neighbors that if they don't like it, come show you how they want it. That might work... Guest guest
Dennis, I like your philosophy! :-) Yes, it is hard to not over do it, on one hand cuz I do feel good and it feels good tobe able to do anything......I do notice I sure cannot do anything near like I did. I think I have been scaring my dh and kids, they came out yesterday and today and brought me inside to stop me after like an hour. I guess they still remember how miserable I can get..and they do not wanna hafta deal with it. That has to be heartbreaking about your fields? I'm sorry. At least mine is just my little ole yard. - In , <betnden@...> wrote: > > Dreamer, don't get too excited about doing a lot right now. I've been there > and it's easy to over-do it. Guest guest
I am sorry about all the hard work, and now more WORK! I am glad your taking the Prednisone until the Humira comes in. I know that gives you a boost of energy. I find yard work so hard:( I use to be in the sun all the time, now I can't stay out for long. I am glad the storm passed, and you all were safe. Now, the yard, I know that is going to be a pain. I'm sorry you have neighbors like that. They should put their energy to helping you all out, not being miserable. Take care, Tawny
