Guest guest
Hi Joy...I am Tess, 54, and Mom to four grown children who were all adopted, and 2 of them have special needs (a third did growing up but has really blossomed out of those needs!). My kids were adopted when I was in my twenties, and I received an original dx of sero-negative lupus and mixed connective tissue disease prior to their adoption (the rheumy has now settled on a dx of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, fibromyalgia, sjogren's and osteo arthritis.). Just to support you, Joy, oh how I remember the days of appointments, testing, counseling, IEP's, doctors, etc. etc. etc. I know it is a difficult road, but also such a blessing. God bless you & yours. With hope... Tess in Oregon
