be offended. Like I said in my last post, it took me 6 years to accept the

Autism. I just couldn't handle that label.....I thought the DS was bad

enough, there was no way he could also be Autistic. Gareth also has the OCD

label and takes Ritalin for school for ADD. BUT.......after I did come to

terms with it, and got him on medicines, he's doing a lot better now. I

also believe that the DS softens the Autistic behaviors.

ALSO.....we had Gareth in at 7:30 this am for his upper GI. I couldn't

believe it, but he did drink the mixtures. They let him watch the TV monitor

while doing the testing. He could see his esophagus, stomach and intestines.

He also had more extensive blood work done for possible thyroid problems.

That would be great if he was another !!! I guess one of the main

reasons our kids act out so much is because they can't tell us what's wrong

with themselves. Take care, Everyone.
