Guest guest
Another good place to go for this is Pars Planitis.com. I go there often, as they have a uveitis support group. There is a lot of good info about autoimmunity and the eyes, as well as a section called " Ask Dr " , where Dr. C. , who is the head of the site, and works out of Cambridge, Mass., can and will answer your eye questions. Many autoimmune diseases, including rhuematic ones like ours, have been found t5o be related to certain eye disorders, esp. those involving the uveal tract, which makes the fluid that fills up the eyeball. If you have autoimmunity, especially Lupus, by all means, see an ophthalmologist regularly, immediately if you experience sudden vision changes , eye pain, or floaters. Good Luck All, Jane <Matsumura_Clan@...> wrote: American Family Physicians September 15, 2002 " Ocular Manifestations of Autoimmune Disease " : http://www.aafp.org/afp/20020915/991.html Not an MD I'll tell you where to go!
