Hi all,

Yep its possible to have both, I do. I had surgery on my left knee this wed.

Went to surgeon for follow up yesterday (fri). Apparently there was alot more

damage than he had expected, so he had to do more repair than he had thought. I

only have to wear the brace at night now. Not cleared to drive yet. And will

start physical therapy 3x/week for 2 weeks as soon as it gets approved by HMO.

They took the dressings off and just put bandaids on top of the stitches which I

will get out next Friday. I still can't take a shower. Today will be spent

trying to figure out how to wash my hair....its' long and feels gross after not

washing since Wed. morning.

Hopefully this surgery will give me about 5 more years before they have to

replace the whole thing.

I am having a hard time with having to ask for help with stuff. My partner and

the kids have been great, but I hate asking. I am a stay at home mom and I

usually keep the house up and such, and haven't been able to contribute. So, I

totally understand the depression part.

Good news is, my SED rate is down to 36 (lab here puts 21 as the highest for

normal range).

i'm glad the surgery went well and you are healing up. I am the same

way, i hate asking for help. Being a SAHM you feel its your responsibility

to do everything yo run a house. Like Kathe said, tomorrow is another day...
