recalculate. thanks, Kathy

What a coinkydink - I found a recipe in my foot tall pile of papers and made it

Sunday (I'm reading your recipe on Tuesday because I'm days behind here)

and it was exactly like yours. They came out fine. Not too hard, and not

too soft. I'll be making that one again!! One batch I used Sandalwood F/O

and another batch I used Creme Brulee F/O. Both were great mixes with

the cocoa butter scent in the bar. My customer loved the basket I put

together for her friend's birthday. Instead of a "basket" though I used a

beautiful brass planter I found at WalMart for $3.00, filled it with pale

green paper grass, (2) designer soaps, wood soap deck, lotion bar, & bath oil beads

in a little muslin baggie. Then I wrapped it in cello with tiny flowers on it

tied with ribbon, and also tied a bath scrunchie into the ribbon, and tied a

mylar helium filled "birthday balloon" from the handle of the planter. I had

tp deliver it to a big medial clinic and hopefully it will be good advertising

and put the idea into all the women's heads that work there!!

It is really evident that you are seriously struggling with something

because this continues to remain outside of reality. Why don't you

and I discuss this off-list. Thank you.

Hi :

I have also found that a glass of wine or even a beer

will cause my hand pain to increase, and my hands to

swell, so I am done with that stuff. Have never had

any trouble with milk or any other foods.

Hi :

Yes, it is Iranian. I'm not Iranian, but my husband

is. He has been here since 1979, and is absolutely

the best husband and friend I could ever ask for.

Yes, Folic Acid is used to offset the side effects of

Mtx which often includes mouth sores or ulcerations.

If I start having problems such as that, I do up my

Folic Acid for a while until the problem goes away.

The dose I usually take is 1 mg. and I will go up to

about 2 mg. Just works for me.

Nope, I am not on antidepressant although my GP tells me I should. I have lots

of other problems to deal with including an uncooperative chronically ill and

clingy husband. Before RA, I never took pills for anything. By now, I feel I am

stuffing myself with medications as it is. Besides, when I keep busy, I am

great.

I believe my loss of appetite has to do with the medication I am on. Food just

doesn't taste as good as it used to. Eating is a chore.

Thanks for writing.

Hi :

I would advise you to not dismiss treatment by

anti-depressants. I feel that I have gotten much

benefit from using Effexor XR for the last five years.

My mood still goes up and down, but, it sure helped

me get through those first few years dealing with RA,

and I feel continues to help me now. Just a thought -

Hi :

Well, I have been numb before, and navigating on numb

is not something I want to do again. There is so much

out there to feel, and if you don't feel sadness or

pain or anything else negative, then I think you can

never really feel joy, happiness, excitement. Just my

opinion, it hurts to feel, I know, but I like the fact

that I do feel now.

Also, I was not specifically saying that my medication

would be your fix, just one of many out there, and

just something to think about, food for thought.

Believe me, I have been numb and emotionally withdrawn

from everything around me before, and I hated it,

which was why I went to the chemical side long ago. I

finally learned that saying you need help is not being

weak, and there is nothing to be embarrased about by

admitting it, and I finally did. But everyone finds

their own way to get through.

I will never put anybody down for how they deal with

life, and everything that these wonderful diseases

also throw our way, it's tough, and you do what you

have to do to survive. I am happy that you have a

good support system and know that we are always here

to support you -
