Guest guest
I saw my surgeon this morning, and again they aspirated quite a bit of fluid from the seroma...430cc's. At first it was a clear amber color, but after the second tube the color changed to a bright blood red. That startled me, but the nurse said not to worry...a capillary was probably broken or the needle scraped me a bit inside. He will continue with aspirations for a while longer to keep the risk of infection as minimal as possible since I am back on my RA meds. Drains or a sclerosing procedure will be discussed if the seroma does not rectify. I pray the seroma will soon be gone and those avenues will not have to be taken. Gentle Hugs... Guest guest
Tess, So sorry you're still having so many problems. You've really had a rough time with the complications of the surgery. I'm praying that you stay infection free and can start your RA meds again. a On Feb 28, 2006, at 3:13 PM, Grammi B wrote: > > I saw my surgeon this morning, and again they aspirated quite a > bit of fluid from the seroma...430cc's.
